Who the heck are you?
I was born in Yorkshire, but have lived everywhere from Berlin to Brighton to Birmingham to Aberdeen over the years.
It's been quite a few years (let's leave it at that), since my first afternoon as a helper on the radio, writing down football scores (I was only 12) - these days, I'm arriving in the door at Real Radio towers, just as lots of people are heading home out of it.
When I get to head home, I never ever miss out on an episode of Corrie - it'd be the same if Brookside was still on too. Music (obviously), cricket and football would be right up there on my list of favourite things too.
What's your guilty pleasure?
Guess it'd have to be cheesy 80s tunes, as you probably know already, or maybe the numbers game on Countdown (I'm normally pretty good at it)
Share your one Real talent?
Ever since I can remember, I've known the celcius/fahrenheit temperature conversions. Don't know how or why. Pretty useful if I'd been a weatherman.
Your best celeb story?
It's a few years ago now, but Peter Kay called in to my show to request a song, then turned up in the studio unannounced 10 minutes later to introduce it in person. He knew all about the show and this story still makes me totally starstruck even now.
Favourite person to meet and why?
Apart from Peter (see above), has to be Katy Perry. Interviewing her in the smallest studio at Real Radio last year was the most surreal 15 minutes ever. She was absolutely lovely and she said I had a nice voice.
What is your one Real Good Feel Good song?
So many, but if I had to pick one, it'd be Amy Macdonald's 'Mr Rock n Roll'
