Brian Woolfson

Brian Woolfson was born out of a cold winter in the late 1970s. He tries to keep his actual age a secret but everyone knows he's now over 30. Just.
He grew up in Lanarkshire, the county in which he still lives. After school he managed to blag a BSc degree in Maths ("I was actually better at English at school") and obtained the professional qualification, enabling him to teach the subject in secondary schools.
Following a few years of Pythagoras, sequences, calculus and even trigonometry, Brian ditched the chalkboard and patched-up suit jackets to enter the dizzy heights of the radio industry. His mother says it was always inevitable and in fact she did think it was a bit strange that he was locked in his bedroom taping the Top 40 pretending to be Bruno Brookes while his mates played on their bikes outside. Thankfully, he never opted for a mullet haircut like Bruno.
After a few years of playing on local stations Woolfy's long-term radio goal was realised when he presented his first show on Real Radio.
