Cat studied for an MA in Theatre, Film and TV at Glasgow University before completing a Post-graduate Diploma in Journalism at Strathclyde University.
Her first job was as a staff sports writer for the Evening Times in Glasgow, she then moved to Scottish Television for five years presenting Champions League Extra and working as a reporter on Scotsport, Extra Time and Scotland Today. It wasn't long before she realised she wasn't very good at being a sensible journalist.
After a spell freelancing, Bossman Jay dragged her into his office and signed her up for Real Radio.
That was over four years ago and her dad still wants to know when she'll get a proper job. She hopes the answer is never!
