What is the story you have covered that you are most proud of?
I managed to get a one-on-one with Celtic manager Gordon Strachan in his office at Parkhead – trust me, that was a HUGE coup! That and interviewing new Scotland boss George Burley live on-air at Ibrox just days after he’d been given the job.
What is your most embarrassing on-air moment?
I started reading a bulletin and made a muck of the first line so started again, Steve McKenna put his fader up and asked me if I was aware of the concept of live radio. Either that or when Ewen asks me ridiculous questions which aren’t related to football and I know my mum is listening.
What do you do while the news jingle is playing?
Usually read through the script in case there’s any mistakes I’ve overlooked.
What do you do for the rest of the hour when you're not reading the news?
Phone calls, press conferences, cut up audio, plan for next bulletin/day/weekend matches.
