Flat-chested women everywhere could be rushing to the shops to get their mitts on a bra that promises to boost boobs by at least one cup size.

A major advantage of the new undergarment is that women can still wear their favourite bra whether it is lacy, frilly, red or black as the Instant Uplift fits neatly underneath and cannot be seen.

The bra - which looks a bit like a medieval torture device! - has no cups and relies on strong elastic to give maximum support to the breasts and has a wide band at the back, similar to a sports bra. All of which helps to lift and push up the breasts to show off the cleavage more than with a normal bra.

Women who are considering surgery may decide that the Instant Uplift is a far less drastic way to change their appearance.

The Instant Uplift looks almost as if it is back to front as the fastening is at the front in the middle and it is relatively narrow, whereas the back is quite wide and supportive.

Edward Chary, Retail Director of New Image TV, which designed the new piece of underwear, said: "It will give a great deal of confidence to an awful lot of women. It also helps with posture and support due to its innovative design and is a much less invasive way of increasing bust size rather than resorting to surgery."

The Instant Uplift bra will be on sale exclusively at Tesco from March 10th.
