Who's in it? Ari Folman. Ron Ben - Yishai, Ronnie Dayag (all voice themselves)
What's good about it? The realization that animation can somehow make the most serious subjects seem even more profound. If you doubt this see Persepolis. It is a beautifully told story drawn from personal experience. Also hats in the air for just getting it made because the pitch can't have been easy. ‘I want to make an anti-war movie set in the middle east; oh yeah and it's a cartoon.
What's bad? Honestly- that this actually happened to Ari Folman.
Why should we pay a tenner for this? This film is beautiful and if you want a deeper understanding of the Lebanese/Palestine problem and how it affects people this is a good place to start.
Should we wait for the DVD? If any of the above doesn't interest you in the slightest then yes.
